APP Jet Center to Begin Major Expansion of Its FBO at San Francisco-Area Hayward Executive Airport
$4 Million Project Will Include a New 20,000-Square-Foot Hangar and 3,000-Square-Foot Passenger Terminal
APP Jet Center, an operator of FBOs (Fixed Based Operations) and aviation real estate, will break ground by year’s end on a major expansion and renovation of its FBO at San Francisco-area Hayward Executive Airport (HWD).
As the sole aviation services provider at Hayward, APP intends with this development to alleviate hangar overcrowding and better serve its fast growing client base.
The $4 million project will include the construction of a 20,000-square-foot hangar (with 28-foot tall doors) and a 3,000-square-foot passenger terminal. It will also include renovation of APP’s existing 12,000-square-foot hangar and office space complex to which the new 20,000-square-foot hangar will be attached. Design of the project will aesthetically reflect the style of Silicon Valley.
Upon completion (expected by next year’s third quarter), the project will give APP’s facility 86,000 square feet of aircraft storage.
“Hangar space is in high demand at Hayward,” Thom Harrow, chief executive officer of APP Properties, Inc. (parent company of APP Jet Center), said. “We look forward to meeting that demand with this development and offering the best service and facilities to our clients.”
