APP Jet Center Continues Expansion in the Nation’s Capital

Development of APP Jet Center’s expanded facilities at Manassas Regional Airport (HEF) continues apace. The Company entered into a new ground lease with the Airport, acquiring one facility and starting construction today of a new hangar as part of its Hangar East complex, comprising 40,000 square feet of 28-foot-door-height hangar space. The project marks the continued growth for APP Manassas after its million-dollar terminal and FBO renovation and acquisition of three additional hangars.

AJ Para, general manager of APP’s operation in Manassas, said: “Demand for the new facilities is strong with the existing hangar already fully rented. We look forward to the opening of our new facility in the Hangar East Project in the first quarter of next year.”

The Hangar East project will increase APP’s total hangar space at HEF to 250,000 square feet. The project also expands APP’s company-wide portfolio to 700,000 square feet of hangar facilities in its four locations: Denver, Colo.; Fort Pierce, Fla. (Treasure Coast); Hayward, Calif. (San Francisco); and Manassas, Va.

Thom Harrow, APP’s chief executive officer, said: “Manassas Regional Airport is one of three airports serving the Washington DC area. It is the only exclusively general aviation facility in the region, and allows for convenient, private and secure operations in the Nation’s capital.”

APP has ranked first or second among FBOs serving the Washington DC market, and has also been voted the #1 FBO worldwide for ground service and line operations.
