Around-the-World Eichhorn and One-Eyed-Pilot Maeda Meet at APP Manassas
APP Jet Center Manassas proudly served as the setting today for two remarkable pilots, “aviation adventurer” Adrian Eichhorn and Shinji Maeda (a.k.a. the “One-Eyed Pilot”), to meet and photograph their planes together.
Eichhorn is best known for his five-week flight around the world in 2016 in his Beechcraft Bonanza. Maeda is the founder of the Aero Zypangu Project, out of which he serves as a motivational speaker to inspire others to pursue their dreams. He is planning his first around-the-world flight, his “Earthrounder Mission,” for 2021.
Today’s photo shoot celebrated Maeda’s participation in an AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) formation flight with Eichhorn who is based out of Manassas Regional Airport (HEF), home to APP Manassas.
