APP Manassas Hosts Vintage Aircraft for Salute to America Flyover

APP Manassas was honored on July 4^th to help Manassas Regional Airport (HEF) facilitate the staging of vintage aircraft that flew in the annual Salute to America Flyover.

This year’s Salute was to the “Great Cities of the American Revolution.” The flyovers began in Boston and proceeded to New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore and finally the nation’s capital.

The aircraft staged at APP Manassas included the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress; Martin B-26 Marauder; Boeing B-29 Superfortress; Douglas DC-3; Vought F4U Flying Corsair; and the North American Aviation P-51 Mustang.
