Henry Graves of APP Manassas Wins NATA Line Service Professional Award

APP Jet Center, an operator of FBOs (Fixed Based Operations) and aviation real estate, congratulates Henry Graves, a line technician for its FBO at Manassas Regional Airport in Virginia, on winning the 2018 NATA Safety 1st Certified Line Service Professional Award.

Annually NATA (National Air Transportation Association) invites FBOs throughout the US to nominate outstanding line service professionals to receive the award. One professional per year wins. NATA issues the award to raise awareness of the positive impact line service professionals have on safety, service and business success.

“Henry Graves is a true line service professional,” Quinn Redden, general manager for APP Jet Center Manassas, said. “His work ethic, integrity and industry knowledge are second to none, and he is amazingly reliable. While Henry’s talent and positive attitude are exemplary, he truly shines in training line technicians. He is dedicated to taking our new hires under his wing and instilling in them the mindset and ability to operate safely, efficiently and professionally. Henry’s knack for training and the example he sets with his vigilance, attitude and consistency sets the highest bar in our industry.”

Graves has worked in aviation for 22 years, 19 of them as an FBO line service professional. He spent his first three years as an airline baggage handler at Washington Dulles International (IAD) before assuming his first line technician position with Piedmont Hawthorne (also at IAD).

Graves’ talent was recognized at Piedmont Hawthorne and he soon earned Lead Technician status. A few years later he took a job closer to home at APP Jet Center Manassas where he has spent the last 15 years as a shift lead/supervisor and providing exemplary ground support service. He has anchored towing operations for numerous large events including annual airshows, US Presidential inaugurations, and PGA Tour events.
